A variety of classes are offered through Shack Man Glass including one-on-one training. The studio also offers rental space for experienced users who are in need of a larger space or equipment. Shack Man Glass will also help you design a class of your own. For more information call us at 720.855.7562

Hands On Saturday
The studio is open each First Saturday for a variety of exciting projects. Work one on one with a glass artist to create a masterpiece - no experience necessary and materials are provided. Appointments are suggested but walk-ins are always welcome. Each session runs about 30 minutes. Pick from one of the following Spring projects:

 

Make your own Glass Heart Pendant
Make one to give and one to keep! Perfect for Mother's Day giving.
Make 1 for $30 or 2 for $50.

Embellish a set of Glass Beads
Decorate a set of black or white glass beads with dots or frit or both. Or if you'd rather you can direct our resident artists to style the beads as you desire.
1 set of 5 beads $45.

Celebrate Spring with Aspens Leaves
Say goodbye to winter with your very own Aspen Leaf Pendants, Make them to wear or string into a beautiful mobile for a sunny window.
Make one leaf for $20 and $15 for each additional leaf.

Offered each First Saturday this spring from 11 am - 2 pm. March 5th, April 2nd, May 7th. Pick up your creation the following Wednesday.

Beginning Sculpture Borosilicate 5 Week

Sculpture with Borosilicate Glass (Pyrex). This 5 week class will teach you the basic techniques of working with borsilicate glass. Each week Brian will introduce new techniques. All skills are taught in clear glass, introduction to color covered in last session. Students will achieve the skills to work independently. 

. Safety, set up of oxygen/propane system, annealing, heat base and control 

. Solid glass: hand techniques, gathers, marias 

. Blown shapes: vessels and ornaments 

. Introduction to color, using rods, frits and fuming 

Shack Man Glass Studio will provide the use of torch, glasses, and tools. Some glass is included but you may purchase additional glass throughout the sessions.

Beginning Lampworking 1 Day Intensive

One day session that covers the basics of beadmaking and basic lampworking skills. 

 

  • . Safety, set up, types of glass & annealing. 
  • . basic bead techniques 
  • . heat base and control 
  • . marvering and gravity, casing, and raking 

 

Shack Man Glass Studio will provide the use of torch, glasses, and tools. Some glass is included but you may purchase additional glass throughout the sessions. Bring a lunch.
